Hemorrhoids - What A Pain In The Butt

Hemorrhoids - What A Pain In The Butt

Sometime there will come a day
Which when you squirm
Will give you great pain
And lots of burn

Oh what a pain
When you try to go
And you sit and strain
And you still cannot go

Watch what you eat
Because there will be something small
That will cause a burning pain between your cheeks
When you eat too much fiber and all

It's awful when you can't sleep
With each move it produces more burn
And, oh no, you don't want to have a seat
But next time you will learn

Such a small thing in the crack
Oh what a pain in the butt
Oh hemorrhoid please don't come back
Oh someone please go get me some Tucks!

I have had experience with these embarrassing things. Some people get them when they consume too much fiber and the bowels do not want to move.  There is just too much stuff and not enough fluid to make them move. The fecal matter becomes really hard which makes the person strain, therefore the occasional hemorrhoids. External Hemorrhoids are caused by straining to go to the bathroom.  During this straining blood vessels will become enlarged and will stretch which causes them to be pushed out.  Diarrhea, constipation, overweight will also cause the straining and added pressure. Pregnant women in their later months might also experience these.  Just for your information there is an estimate of over 10 million people who suffer from hemorrhoids in their lifetimes. These become very sensitive to the touch and can make it painful to wipe.  Sometimes they will bleed bright red and you will see it on the toilet paper after wiping.  If they bleed lots then it is time to make a visit to your Doctor to make sure they are not cancer. Sometimes they will itch.  Mine do not.  Hemorrhoids do burn, I can tell you that.  It is hard to sit or stand or even lay in bed, once you get situated in a comfy soft chair you don't want to move. There are a couple of products on the market and over the counter that you can get to help ease the burning pain, swelling and itching.  One, I am pretty sure everyone has heard of is Preparation H and the other is Tucks.  Hemorrhoids usually are not that serious and only last for a few days.  I tried to go to sleep today because I couldn't get to sleep last night and came up with the poem.
