She Dances Around The Earth

Dancing Around The Earth - A Poem

Dancing Around the Earth
Spreading Beauty and Mirth
In autumn's glorious season
In preparation for her leaving
Before she is ready to depart
All her Kingdom plays one last part
The Oaks, and Maples and Birches have spent
Their wondrous show in their beauty pageant
Now have the Wind to help the many
Spread their many colored confetti
Squirrels and Birds come to feed
On the many falling seeds
Storing some in the Earth Below
Where they begin to slowing grow
O'er winter’s deep sleep
And Spring when they peek
From their bed's so cold
They come out so bold
With leaves and flowers all new and bright
They lift their faces up to the light
But as time marches on
And spring and summer have gone
It is time once again
When it is their time to begin
With the never-ending reasons
To aid in the cycle of the seasons
To spread beauty and mirth

That Dances Around the Earth
